Overseas event: Maçon, France

Wow. We are bushed! We’ve just returned from Maçon in France, where we were part of the most incredible wedding.

As you can imagine (or as you probably already know) a typical wedding evening ‘do’ consists of a couple of hours of music and possibly some cheese or bacon sarnies. Fabulous! Sometimes we just have to go a little bigger though, right?

Chirstian and Mei Mei’s wedding celebrations began on a calm Friday evening where we performed an acoustic jazz set on a hill in a picturesque vineyard, whilst the guests sipped the finest wines and feasted on canapes. It was a first to perform in such a glorious setting whilst the sun went down across the vines. It was so romantic - what better way to celebrate the beginning of your wedding celebrations with a bit of jazz music!

The next day - the BIG DAY - there was much to do. We kicked off with a lunch in the garden of the groom’s home, providing a bittersweet backdrop to the scene with a relaxed acoustic trio. Then it was onto the church and a performance for the entry of the bride along with a guest performance from an opera singer. After the ceremony our ‘team 2’ were waiting to greet the revellers with an upbeat acoustic set outside the church whilst the champagne was flowing and the photos snapped. We then raced back to the chateau to get ahead of the wedding party, so we were able to greet them on arrival whilst we performed a piano / vocal set of jazz standards before the wedding breakfast.

The whole evening was rounded off with (you guessed it) a classic Funkty Dumpty party set, where the dance floor was packed until the early hours…It was such an incredible weekend!

But it wasn’t over yet.

On Sunday we performed a four hour set in the sunshine for brunch and goodbyes! We don’t do things by halves, do we? Living proof that we go above and beyond to provide you with the best, and only the best Wedding entertainment. Now, if you’ll excuse us, there’s a sofa somewhere calling our name...

The 3 vocalists just before the ceremony.
