Q - How do I enquire about booking Funkty Dumpty?
A - You can contact us using our online contact form.
Q - Where is the band based and how far will you travel?
A - Funkty Dumpty are based in Bristol, UK and can travel to venues all over the UK and internationally.
Q - What do the band require at the venue?
A - We require:
At least 4m x 4m of floor space in order for the band to perform and approx. 1 to 1hr 30mins to set up (depending on band size and equipment hired).
Adequate electrical supply i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3pin, 13amp power sockets near the performance area, independent i.e. NOT shared with catering, disco etc.
Refreshments. It is customary to provide food/drinks.
A room to change in.
Q - How long does the band play?
A - We usually play 2 sets of approx. 1 hour each with a break of 30mins in between. This is not fixed however and with enough notice, we can cater a set just for you.
Q - Does the band provide a DJ?
A - Funkty Dumpty can provide a full DJ package including extra dance floor lights and at present over 26,000 songs, and for a much smaller fee than it would normally cost for a separate DJ we can provide the entire nights entertainment. Playing before, in-between and after the band, the DJ set is co-ordinated with the bands set list so that the music for your event is fully in sync. Please note, although happy to make any necessary announcements, we try and let the tunes do the talking not the DJ!

Q - How do the band set up on stage?

Q - What do the different band line-ups include?
A - The 6 piece band is made up of Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals x2
A - The 7 piece band includes a single Brass Instrument
A - The 8 piece band includes a 2 piece Brass Section
A - The 9 piece band includes the full 3 piece Brass Section
Q - How long do the band need to set up?
A - The band need a minimum of 1hr to set up, increasing to 1.5hrs if using the 8 or 9 piece line-up
Q - What do the band usually wear?
A - Funkty Dumpty are always aware of the appropriate dress code for events and, unless a specific request is made, we would usually wear smart clothing with the backing band in shirts & ties and the lead singers in semi-formal dresses.
Q - How do I make a booking?
A - If you decide you would like to go ahead and book Funkty Dumpty, we will send you out 2 copies of our contract for you to sign, one of which you must return.
Q - How much do you charge?
A - Funkty Dumpty endeavour to be as flexible as possible to suit your requirements. We will review your request and tailor a quote specifically for you.
Q - When do I pay?
A - To confirm a booking with Funkty Dumpty, we require a 25% deposit with the balance being paid a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the performance. All details are included in the contract.
